YouTube Unveils Reels, a Stories Format for its Creators

In an attempt to give video creators more ways to express themselves and engage with fans, YouTube has unveiled its own take on Snapchat Stories and Instagram Stories, where you can capture photos or videos, then decorate them with text, art, filters, and more, and broadcast them to followers via a stitched-together reel that'll play out like a story to viewers. Well, it appears that more creators other than those invited by YouTube previous year will now be able to interact with their subscribers through GIFs, photos, polls, and texts, in addition to just videos.

A YouTube video introduced a new feature called Reels, which resembles the "History" Instagram and Snapchat. Unlike other platforms, Reels would be capped to 30 seconds and will not expire after 24 hours. YouTube says that Reels is the company's "spin on the popular stories format, but designed specifically for YouTube creators".

Australian Senate Passes Same-Sex Marriage Bill In Historic Vote
Already, one Nationals MP has blasted Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull for failing to protect religious protections. Earlier this month, Australians overwhelmingly voted yes on marriage equality in a national postal survey.

YouTube's team is also adding features such as linking to YouTube videos and YouTube-y stickers to enhance the community-centric experience on the video streaming site. Creators can also turn to the Community tab to tease subscribers about an upcoming video so that they might build additional excitement for their offerings. After the said duration, Stories disappear from their accounts.

Moreover, YouTube has also "optimised" notifications about new Community posts, but subscribers won't get a notification for every new post. Fans can now see Community posts in their home feeds, even if they aren't subscribed to the creator's channel. You can also enable push notifications for Community posts to let your fans stay up to date with your announcements. Users will also have the opportunity to evaluate the Reels, putting them huskies or dslan.
