The success of the Seattle Roastery, which opened in late 2014, demonstrated to Starbucks the potential for more upscale locations and provided a blueprint for the other Roasteries in the works around the world.

Starbucks is going venti in China. "We have over 600 stores in Shanghai", Schultz said. Three wooden coffee bars stretching up to 27 meters (88 feet) long and handcrafted by Chinese artisans will serve as the stage for hundreds of baristas and six brewing methods: ModBar Pour Over, Chemex, Coffee Press, Siphon, Espresso and the proprietary Clover-brewed coffee.

The tea bar also offers an immersive experience, with tea "curators" handcrafting unexpected creations with tea mixology as well as nitrogen and tea. There's also an on-site bakery with enough carbs from famed Italian baker Rocco Princi to keep you fueled as you explore Starbucks' first-ever augmented reality experience. He said while the space is in China, the location overall celebrates the company's 46-year history of being a coffee leader.

Over two floors, Starbuck's Shanghai Roastery is the size of a soccer field and is said to be the brand's most hi-tech store yet. The Roastery's digital experience is designed by Starbucks and powered by Alibaba Group's scene-recognition technology.

Bowles said both players will return to the starting lineup next week - unless they give the coach a reason to change his mind. Making matters even more unusual is that Peters walked off the field in disgust despite not actually being ejected.
