Sylvester Stallone Will Direct & Produce 'Creed 2' Himself

Part of this is because the film has spent the last two years without a director, however, the project how now moved forward in that particular area.

Known for playing cinema's most famous boxer, Sylvester Stallone announced yesterday that he would direct the next spin-off from the Rocky saga.

He also lauded the agency's probe into the funding of separatists, saying it has put a hurdle in the flow of funds to the militants and their morale was hit badly.

Though the muscly Italian American has become most recognisable as the action hero star of Rocky, Rambo and, more recently, The Expendables, Stallone is an experienced director with eight films under his belt since 1978's Paradise Alley. In fact, the only series movies that he didn't make are the original Rocky and Rocky V, which were both made by John G. Avildsen. Many still believe Stallone's performance as Rocky Balboa in 2015's Creed deserved the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, but the award went to Mark Rylance for his role in Bridge Of Spies. What we do know, though, is very exciting.

Stallone announced the news in an Instagram post featuring him and Jordan.

Creed 2 is due out next year, and is rumored to be bringing back Dolph Lundgren's Ivan Drago, too.
