Red Balloons Are Popping Up On Storm Grates Ahead Of 'It' Movie

In a post on Facebook, the Lititz Borough Police Department say they know the movie is coming to theaters in a couple days and give the prankster creativity for promoting the movie.

The Pennsylvania town of Lititz, just north of Lancaster, is having some fun with the imminent release of It.

"Several hours later, Lititz police took to Facebook a second time, this time with an even more playful post explaining its "investigation" and possible "prosecution" of the person (s), errr ah, "thing" responsible" for the balloons.

Last week, Pennsylvania State Police issued a warning that "creepy clown" sightings could be on the rise due to the movie's release.

The police department's post ends with a famous line from the book: "You'll float too".
