Bristol to host England vs India T20 in 2018

West Indies haven't won a Test series in England for 29 years but go into the final match having beaten their opponents in two of their last three Tests (going back to Barbados in 2015).

Beaten out of sight in the first day-night Test in England at Edgbaston, where they lost 19 wickets on the third and last day, the visitors rebounded in thrilling fashion at Headingley.

Hope followed his maiden Test hundred, in his 12th match, with an unbeaten 118 as West Indies knocked off 322 to level the series and make a mockery of a barrage of pre-match criticism which included claims the current team is the worst from the Caribbean ever to tour England.

Delivering the MCC Spirit of Cricket Cowdrey lecture at Lord's, Lara said that the leading sides of the world have a responsibility to "show the way and lead the way" in which the game is played.

West Indies, who stand on the brink of their first series win in England since 1988, might have something to say about that.

Harry Sterling: Saner heads should prevail on North Korea
The U.S. military frequently responds to North Korean actions with a show-of-force display of its attack aircraft. Three short-range missiles were launched on Saturday.

England even took the risk of dropping in-form seamer Toby Roland-Jones, whose three Tests this season have yielded 14 wickets, for the Headingley Test, bringing in Chris Woakes for his first Test of the home campaign after injury, seemingly to get some overs under his belt ahead of the upcoming Ashes tour of Australia.

There are more vexed issues - and three times, while pondering those concerning Westley, Roland-Jones and Woakes, Root prefaced his answer with the phrase: "It is a hard one".

Cricket Scotland expect next June's fixture to attract a capacity crowd and Cannon added: "Tickets are likely to go very quickly so we would encourage everyone who like to support their country to buy as soon as they go on sale and recreate the "Hampden Roar" at The Grange!"

"It's obviously very hard to leave somebody like Chris out, he's been a consistent performer in Test cricket for England".

He said that if the team had not overlooked its flaws while the senior players were still playing, perhaps the administration and the players themselves would have had a chance to save the team from the shambolic results which the team went on the face since the turn of the century. You may be faced with different dilemmas and you just have to adjust and cope with it.

"People make assumptions all the time", said Law at Lord's on Tuesday.

With James Anderson, the leader of England's attack, just three wickets away from reaching 500 in Tests, there are other sub-plots that will play out at Lord's over the next five days or so.

England will kick off their summer with two Test matches against Pakistan. And just before that, Colin Croft decided he was going to take a piece out of Fred Goodall's shoulder (during the New Zealand series in 1980) and ran into him during a Test match.

Lara confessed he was "embarrassed" when a series of umpiring decisions helped the West Indies triumph over England in 1990.
