Australians Rally For Marriage Equality in the Country's Largest LGBTQ+ Demonstration Ever

Apple's support comes a week after Australia's High Court to allow the federal government to implement a non-binding, non-compulsory postal plebiscite asking the question: "Should the law be changed to allow same-sex couples to marry?"

Australia is one of the only developed English-speaking countries not to have legalized same-sex marriage, despite strong popular support and the backing of a majority of lawmakers.

Copley and Eggins have been attending marriage equality rallies in the country for years, but now with millions of Australians about to vote their opinion on the issue, this past weekend's rally in Brisbane came with a greater sense of significance.

The Ipsos poll was based on a survey of 1,400 voters between Wednesday and Saturday last week and had a 2.6% point margin of error.
