Apple finally chimes in on net neutrality debate

The attack made it impossible for people to leave comments just after Oliver called for viewers to show their support for current net neutrality protections.

Instead, the iPhone maker only shares its more general views about the need for net neutrality safeguards. "As we've said before, and as both sides of the aisle have agreed, it's time for Congress to enact bipartisan legislation that permanently establishes sensible and enforceable open internet protections".

Pai has said previously that the rollback was necessary because the regulations were straitjacketing providers' ability to introduce innovative technologies to the market.
