NASA Reveals Amazing Photos of the ISS Traveling Past the Eclipse

Everyone loves to be centre of attention, and it seems the International Space Station is no different after it decided it wasn't content being outdone by the moon's popularity on Monday.

The NASA photographer also captured the ISS as the moon had progressed further across the sun.

Part of the total solar eclipse's mystique is its ability to remind you how small you are and how massive the universe is. A total solar eclipse swept across a narrow portion of the contiguous United States from Lincoln Beach, Oregon to Charleston, South Carolina.

In what might be the greatest photobomb of all time, the International Space Station (ISS) hovered its way into a stunning image of the total solar eclipse. Although we don't think those are proper eclipse glasses.

Astronauts aboard the space station were the only people who got to see what the eclipse looked like from space Monday, and they managed to snap a photo of it.

The images were captured by NASA photographer Joel Kowsky, who was on the ground in Banner, Wyoming, to take the snapshots for the USA space organization.
