Paul George traded to OKC

Paul George traded to OKC

Wait, no, they actually got Victor Oladipo and Damantas Sabonis, but the return is small considering the type of player George is.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard will also be a bigger part of the offense in IN than he was with the Thunder, and don't be surprised if he averaged 15 FGA and 18 PPG while playing for Nate McMillan and the Pacers in 2017-18.

The Indiana Pacers are sending four-time All-Star forward Paul George to the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to multiple reports Friday night. George forced Pacers GM Kevin Pritchard's hand, and after fielding numerous offers, the Pacers settled on the Thunder's deal.

CNN is claiming that the only reason the hit piece was published was because "standard editorial processes were not followed". It's not immediately clear what in the story is factually incorrect, or whether CNN will continue to report on the issue.

Oladipo is the third part of this deal worth mentioning, because he's a young scorer and secondary rebounder and distributor who also makes 3s (1.9 per game last season) and racks up steals (1.5 SPG in his career).

George spent the first seven seasons of his National Basketball Association career with the Pacers. The shocker was that it wasn't to the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets or Boston Celtics like many of us had expected. He had 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists a game.

The pressure now upon Oklahoma City is that Westbrook and George both are set to play next season in the final year of their contracts. Also, this gives OKC one more great defender as he is considered to be one of the best perimeter defenders in the National Basketball Association that can guard the best players in the league.

Kiev vehicle bombing treated as terrorist attack
Tuesday's blast is the latest deadly incident to hit Kiev, as Ukraine battles Russia-backed rebels in its eastern regions. Investigators were treating the explosion as a terror attack but did not immediately say who was to blame.

The news hit the Celtics as they were preparing to make their midnight free agent phone calls, and according to sources among those who have dealings with the club, the C's were stunned. Which three first-round picks did Boston offer on draft night - and with what protections?

The move is another huge blow to the Eastern Conference, which already previously lost star Jimmy Butler when he was traded from the Chicago Bulls to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
