Verdict in the Philando Castile Case Spawns Protests

"A system that perpetually condones the killing of people, without outcome, doesn't need to be revised, it needs to be dismantled", Kaepernick wrote.

Kaepernick tweeted his displeasure with the verdict, with a graphic reading "You can't ignore your history - always remember who they are". In the video, 32-year-old Philando is sitting in the driver's seat, covered in blood.

Kaepernick was upset after a jury found Minnesota Officer Jeronimo Yanez not guilty of all charges after fatally shooting Philando Castile. The officer testified that Castile was pulling his gun out of his pocket despite his commands not to do so.

Yanez was eventually charged with second-degree manslaughter in the shooting, but a jury of his peers, who were tasked with deciding the level of culpable negligence he demonstrated by using lethal force against Castile, cleared Yanez of all charges.

The case garnered immediate attention because Castile's girlfriend streamed the aftermath live on Facebook.

"The system continues to fail black people", she said.

India also won the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup match against Pakistan by a convincing 5-1 margin. If asked, I will say that the prayers of the fans and God have won them the games.

Speaking after the verdict, Castile's mother, Valerie Castile, said her son was "murdered".

When Scalise arrived in the hospital, he had an "imminent risk of death" and was "as critical as you can be", doctors also said. They say he is able to communicate through notes, and signed the game ball from Friday's congressional baseball game.
