UAE's Gargash: Qatar Isolation Could Last for Years

Several neighboring countries of Qatar have closed transit routes and borders with it in a bid to increase pressures on Doha.

Qatar's foreign minister yesterday called on neighboring states to lift their "blockade" of his country before Doha takes part in any negotiations on ending the Gulf diplomatic crisis.

The foreign minister said the economic impact on Qatar had so far proved to be minimal.

Turkey also sent its foreign minister to Qatar on Wednesday as part of a drive to fix Gulf Arab states's rift with Qatar.

According to observers, the recent fallout in relations came in the wake of Qatar's apparent break with past policies and its leaning toward Russian Federation and Iran - similar to Turkey's turnabout on the Syria crisis.

Tebow promoted to Mets' affiliate in Florida
It's probably too late for anyone to save the Mets' 2017 season, but prospect Tim Tebow is one step closer to the major leagues. He struck out 69 times, a reflection of a player who is still rusty after not playing baseball since high school.
