Protesters march through St. Anthony to remember Castile Sunday

Yesterday, a jury found Minnesota police officer Jeronimo Yanez not guilty for shooting and killing 32-year-old Philando Castile last year.

The protesters eventually left the capitol and began marching through the streets, with hundreds splintering off and blocking a highway for about two hours. By early Saturday morning, at least 18 people had been arrested for failing to leave the freeway.

The officer who shot Castile, Jeronimo Yanez, is Latino-not white-as some online were quick to note, arguing that this fact diminishes the role racism played in the shooting.

Incredulous at yet another police officer escaping with a not guilty verdict, she yelled on the steps of the courthouse. The Washington Post reported that the jury decision came nearly a year after Castile's death. His death captured national attention when his girlfriend, who was in the vehicle with her young daughter, streamed the aftermath of the shooting live on Facebook.

An attorney for Mr Yanez, Mr Earl Gray, praised the verdict.

Except that Trump's tweet, technically speaking, refers to his own "non-dealings" rather than possible actions of his campaign and administration.

People gathered Sunday afternoon in front of Saint Anthony Village City Hall, where Yanez worked at the time he shot Philando Castile.

Protestors marched from the state capitol in St. Paul and, as they did previous year, about 500 marched down the ramps onto Interstate 94, blocking traffic on the busiest traffic connection between the Twin Cities.

Minnesota State Patrol said it arrested 18 protesters following demonstrations on Interstate 94 in St. Paul.

But no video existed of exactly what happened inside the vehicle.

"This verdict tells African Americans across the country that they can be killed by police officers with impunity, even when they are following the law, and that it is reasonable for any person interacting with an African American in any way to fear for his or her life", Richmond, D-La., said in a statement.

Britain-EU Brexit talks to start Monday as planned
Barnier dismissed the suggestion of postponing the negotiations and said such a delay would only prompt further instability. They would not form a coalition.

Yanez killed Castile in his auto last year while his fiance, Diamond Reynolds, and 4-year-old daughter were sitting in the vehicle.

Mr Yanez, the son of a Mexican immigrant, testified during the trial in Ramsey County District Court that he feared for his life after Mr Castile began reaching for a firearm that the latter had disclosed he had in his possession. He killed somebody. Philando Castile got victimized by the system.

"He loved her and he cared for her just like his own, just as well as he cared for all 500 of those kids at J.J. Hill", she said. Unlawful assembly and other charges are pending against them, it said. Castile's mother spoke out, calling Yanez a murderer and making it clear that she believes her son was murdered by a police officer.

Still, the snowballing investigation has deeply angered Trump, who denies he has any nefarious ties to Russian Federation . But Mr Rosenstein, too, may ultimately have to end his oversight, given his role in Mr Trump's decision to fire Mr Comey.
