June Super Rugby break dumped from 2020

World Rugby has released details of the post-2019 global calendar, which it says will increase matches between Tier One and Two nations by 39 percent.

The current June worldwide window will move to the first three weeks of July to allow the Southern Hemisphere club championship, Super Rugby, to be completed prior to the matches.

World Rugby has announced a new long-term fixture harmony for Test matches, an agreement that will commence in 2020 and run until 2032.

If there was a week the Australian Rugby Union needed some good news - some non-fake news, even - it was this week.

"This is an excellent outcome for New Zealand with Super Rugby able to run without the disruptive June break, and provides the optimum preparation for the July global window", New Zealand Rugby (NZR) chief executive Steve Tew said on Friday.

Rookie Denzel Valentine had two 3-pointers during Chicago's comeback in the fourth quarter. The Bulls will travel to the nation's capital to take on the Washington Wizards at 6 p.m.

"This has been an important piece of work which also takes into account the welfare of players, development and advancement opportunities for emerging nations, and an exciting programme of test rugby", NZR chief executive Steve Tew said on Friday.

"The new global match calendar is a major milestone and provides certainty for the game and its fans and I give great credit to World Rugby Chairman, Bill Beaumont and his deputy, Gus Pichot for driving us to this outcome", Pulver said.

"This is an excellent outcome for New Zealand with Super Rugby able to run without the disruptive June break, and provides the optimum preparation for the July worldwide window".

"We now have certainty with a 10 year programme of July tours already agreed including three British and Irish Lions series", Tew said.

Ever since rugby union became a fully professional sport shortly after the 1995 World Cup in South Africa, there has been talk of a "global season" in a bid to get greater harmony between club and worldwide fixtures.

Trump hits back at Snoop Dogg amid 'Ronald Klump' video controversy
After the commander-in-chief commented on the rapper's "Lavender" music video with a tweet, Snoop took to Instagram to fire back. Snoop was trending on Twitter all day following Trump's outburst, where the president said the rapper's career was "failing".

The November Test window has also been brought forward by a week to extend the rest period for southern hemisphere players while Rugby World Cups will henceforth be cemented within the calendar to kick off one week earlier in the second week in September. Georgia and Romania will host matches against Six Nations countries during the July window.

Six Nations unions must collectively host a guaranteed minimum of six tier two fixtures in each November window.

"(The schedule) sets new standards by prioritising rest periods, promoting equity for the sport's emerging powers and harmonising the relationship between the global and domestic games", World Rugby said in a statement.

"The entire process was carried out with a strong spirit of collaboration between all nations and like in any agreement, there were compromises that each nation had to make in order to reach an outcome that will benefit the game as a whole".

All charges dismissed in Darrelle Revis assault hearing
Bolton told the district attorney, "If you was my friend and you said you was getting jumped, I'd help you", Kinkhabwala reported. The Jets still owe Revis $6 million. "That would be a dream come true, I tell you, to play for the hometown team", Revis said.
