All charges dismissed in Darrelle Revis assault hearing

The free-agent cornerback had been facing four felonies and a misdemeanor stemming from a street fight in Pittsburgh last month, but all charges were dismissed during a Pittsburgh court hearing Wednesday.

With the dismissal of all charges against him, Darrelle Revis assumes National Football League teams began calling in search of his signature. An initial report claimed the former New York Jets cornerback was assaulted by the five men, but Revis later was charged after another report claimed he physically assaulted two of the men.

Truex rolls, Kyle Busch picks fight
In Busch's postrace interview, Busch said he "got dumped" by Logano and it appears Logano is due for some payback in the future. A closer look of the incident showed the Busch landed a punch on Logano before the crew members wrestled Busch to the ground.

Revis countered he was acting in self defense, and his friend Rashawn Bolton testified it was he who threw the punches.

Bolton told the district attorney, "If you was my friend and you said you was getting jumped, I'd help you", Kinkhabwala reported. The Jets released him shortly after the arrest, though coach Todd Bowles said the incident had nothing to do with the team's decision to let Revis go and was instead related to saving $9 million in cap space. The Jets still owe Revis $6 million.

"That would be a dream come true, I tell you, to play for the hometown team", Revis said. Two years ago, the Steelers were a surprise inclusion in the chase to sign Revis after his deal with the Patriots expired. He was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area.
